Friends, readers, unapologetic bibliophiles,
As it says on the tin, I’ve been nominated for the Ignyte Award in two categories.
Best Short Story — The Lady of the Yellow-Painted Library.
You may remember this one, which is about an otherwordly librarian haunting a salesman who has lost his library book. Originally in Africa Risen, and fantastically adapted into a fully immersive audio podcast by the wonderful LeVar Burton!
Best Novelette—The Epic of Qu Shittu.
About a bard/chronicler who sidles up to a “dark lord” in order to pen a biography. Originally in The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction (March/April 2022)
Both stories are in my upcoming collection Jackal, Jackal (have you pre-ordered yet???)
Voting is open to the public until the end of June. If you read/ listened to and enjoyed these stories I’d be grateful for your vote!
Until next time,
Tobi
